New Member Information

Lanakila Outrigger Canoe Club is based in Redondo Beach, California. We have as many as 5-6 mens teams and 5-6 womens teams in a given season, and have varying levels of experience in each team from beginers (novice) to world class athletes who have competed in the Olympics. That is over 150 paddlers each season.

People who have never paddled before are encouraged to come out. There is even a whole division of people who have never paddled before called NOVICE paddlers. The races are shorter, and much instruction is given. So it's OK to get involved at any time - you get to join a whole buch of people in the same boat - so to speak...

Lanakila welcomes all potential paddlers and paddlers from clubs around the world (including visiting paddlers) to join us for practice. Please call our Lanakila information hotline and leave your name, address and phone number. We check it often. Directions to our club are posted below, including a map. The dues for year 2003 will remain as follows: $250 if paid in full by March 31th. If you would like to pay in 3 installments, the rate is $90 per payment due on 3/26, 4/1 and 4/15. Your dues cover all race fees, racing uniforms, equipment repairs and towing, rent, insurance, etc..... For new members, dues are pro-rated ...
